DNA, it's important to start with a good baseline...clean EEPROM (bin), clean card. Sites advertising "clean bins" along with act/3m scripts should probably explain their services a bit. The "clean bin" will be clean, all right..no old code, all ZKT tables verify, etc...but it will have a blacklisted CAMID. The idea is for you to patch your own valid CAMID to it...and use the result as you see fit.
Nothing wrong with that - in fact, it's a good idea...but you must remember YOU are required to provide the valid CAM.

Like 00 said, if your subbed card is an HU, all you need to do is read and save the sub from your card. (CAREFULLY!)
If it's a P4 or newer, you'll need a modified receiver, or a valid CAM from another source plus an HU card.

Your Mikobu will work properly in ExtremeHU as is...however, most of Extreme's custom settings, and nearly all of the prominent WinExplorer utilities, require the UL4S flash. Not a difficult process, and it costs nothing but your time. One of our members will be glad to help you through the process, if necessary.
