Hello, i'm running dish platinum emu and was running fine til the ecm. It gave the famous location id 000001 so I erased sec. 5 on flash editing to let it take the firmware update, then it worked for about 30 minutes, using latest discmaker, and did it again 000001. Re-flashed and it did the same thing. Is the disc bad or am I doing something wrong. shouldn't the update on the receiver have stopped this? thanks

Try changing your cam id. Chances are they are hitting that. I had the same problem until I got an ID that stuck.

Hello, are you referring to the card # or ird # in tweak emu? How did you come up with a good one. thanks

card #. There are two ways - use a legit one... I happen to have a rom 10 lying around so I used its number. Previously I had been emuing with Rom 3's and I would get numbers from a program called scammer. The best way is to sub and use your valid card #. But, if that fails, either of the above options work. If you use scammer, there will be some trial and error involved - not all the numbers work, but eventually you should find one that does.

Thanks, I'll try that next. Have you ever had a receiver that was working and then all the channels are black but the preview channels. I read it is bad box keys, but it worked before the ecm. thanks

I've heard its bad box keys or you may need to let the receiver update to the latest firmware. Also, since you are emuing, I have noticed that many older versions of cemu do not work and will give you only the preview channels. You should get version .86 or .87.

Update: I tried a valid subd card # and still get the famous 000001 after 20 minutes. Also when I update the card by erasing section 5 in flash, the receiver system info becomes model 2800 commercial. Is this normal with the last update, and any other things to try would be much appreciated. thanks Running platinum universal dish emu, not c-emu.

Correction: I mean when I update the receiver by erasing section 5 in the tsop, the receiver system becomes model 2800 commercial. It is a model 2700, does this mean anything. thanks

Use the up to date disk maker. I'm assuming you are using v5.11 which got emm'd during the superbowl. v5.12 is the update for that emm.
