Plumbers flux is very acidic, and will dissolve PCB board traces, that very well may be your problem........

Skinerd is on the button. Plumber's flux is used to etch copper pipes. It would have no trouble eating copper traces on your board.

You probably could repair the 5353, however. Remove all the flux with an alcohol bath and scrub. A toothbrush is a good tool. Flush and clean again. Then expose bare copper (an eraser works well) at the reworked solder points and bridge the solder with a dab of (electronic) flux until you have wetted the bare copper trace.

We're not talking about a lot of traces - maybe 12-18. Remember to do both sides of the board.

buffered JTAG might be your problem.....can't confirm it 100% but i would start there. next i would make sure my wires are correct. i think those things are so overrated. i modded every possible IRD that takes a JTAG with a simple JTAG and never had a problem. if you are still stuck and can't figure it out, send it to me and i will take a look at it.
