I am having a problem with my jInterface, I was writing a backup flash back onto my 508/5800 then all of a sudden I got a error and then my jinterface stoped working all-together, it will not work on my 501/5100 or my 4700, says "Error no responce from interface Com 1 check connections and retry" does this mean my Jinterface is messed? Can it be fixed? Is there a program that will reset the jInterface?

Hummm, make sure that your Jinterdace cable is not kinked in any way, make sure that is is well pluged in and also make sure that all your port configuration have not changed by any chance.

I have a jinterface and it never did that ????

Here is an idea

The computer that was working Did you install a program that protects the computer If yes it might see what you are doing as a threat and stop it.

If no try defragmenting your computer alot of people forget to do this and it makes a big difference on how how the computer works

are you able to erase the flash?

Just a shot in the dark here, but did you check the 'Preferences' in Jkeys? Should be set to 'jinterface'...not 'Parallel port'

...I'm assuming you have...right?

Yes I checked the settings in all 3 computers. Even a friend that has been doing sat for 3 years can not figure it out. Even toko to his house to try on his comp and his receiver and same error.
