Sony Sat-A3 Problems/Questions

Using Mili's 3M and Script.

1) Can not seem to "save" a transponder. Any info. appreciated.
2) Sony gets Channels in 400 range prefixed JA, WB etc. that my RCA 420RE does not get. Sony does not get Seattle channels 4,5 etc but RCA does.
3) Experiencing freezing since Jan 28 bin installed on the Sony receiver only.

I read somewhere a long time ago:
To save the transponder on a sony, you set the transponder, then RETURN out of the transponder menu THEN exit. DO NOT exit the transponder menu or it won't save. It will also return to the factory default transponder when you go back into the transponder menu.
Since it will always return to the default, I guess there is really no way to verify if you really did change and save transponders.

The A3 is a pre-plus receiver. You will get more channels with it than the 420.

The freezing has been discussed. Look for it.

if your IRD worked before the 3m then guess what the problem is?......get a new 3m

Thanks for your prompt answers. Freezing resolved by cleaning card a few times with Extreme and Superclean. Not getting Seattle channels remains a mystery.

If you live in the Seattle zone, and you have the guide byte correct, the locals for the correct guide byte will appear in the 400's.
