View Full Version : reading the stream
I would like to get into the nitty gritty of testing. Can anyone explain how to actually receive the stream so it can be saved, read, decrypted for EMM etc.
Pleas pm if this is not to made public.
What software, hardware assemblers etc is needed to do this
Thanks

For the most part the EMM commands are the ones you need. Get yvousemu it's a emu program that runs in windows and shows all the emm's on screen as it runs. It also has a log option. Never tried it but it should log all the emm's to a text file.
The hardware would be the same as any emu setup. A computer running windoze 98 or 2K. Don't know if it will work with me or xp. And a interface for ird. Bunches of designs for that just pick the one that buy or build eaisest or has the features you want. eg slides in cardslot, hard wired to card slot, or has the option to unhook a phone connector you installed. Leave the interface in and insert a cam. My personal favorite. Going back to the emu is easy. pull the cam turn it over stick it back in and plug in your homemade phone line to the computer and boot it up.

I have an AVR is this how to do it. Are there any doc on how to do this with Dish and a 301?

Yes a AVR can be used once a cable is made and a couple mods so it will work with the 301 receiver. Go to:
http://www.m24c.net/
All the info you need is there.
