in the dish pointing menu select city then find Texas then find Lubbock, it's elevation is 50 on the dish and the azimuth is 170. so your elevation is going to be more than 50 on the dish. once you calculate what your elevation is going to be approximatly, point your dish to the far east and SLOWLY (like 1mm incriments) move the dish pan westward (to your right if your looking down at the lnb). if you can find the 101 sat even with a low signal then you will have to fine tune it (redo your elevation for a better signal strength). Good Luck.

ok im at 17.633 north and 101.55 west under these coordinates does anybody knoe which direction i would point my sattelite to get the north american sattelite. im on the pacific coast in mexico. it seems to me if guys are getting the signal in canada i could get it here because the sat. is south of texas
The satellite might be south of Texas, but the transmitters are aimed at the USA, you will need a large dish to receive them in Southern Mexico, if you can get them at all.......Most of the Canadians getting DTV are in the southern part of Canada, up north a large dish is required there too.....

Hello,
I hits ONLY ONE BIRD! I have Montec SG-2100 and Fortec Star Ultra Lifetime
I am in Montreal, Canada , Can someone help me to find the TRUE SOUTH?
I try to catch 97* W
.
Montreal City.
Latitude : 45.5 N
Longitude : 73.3 W
So,
Elevation : 45 degree
Declination : 23.2 degree ( 30 - 6.8 )
.
I guessed my TRUE SOUTH is 16 degree / 196 degree (180 + 16 W)
I tried to catch 97* W
It moves 26* W from the TRUE SOUTH ( 16 Degree /196 ) .
I adjusted, then got 71% Level but ALWAYS 0% of Quality!
Strangle, I moved the dish back to the reference position.
While moving, it hits 97* W in a half way (26/2 = 13 degree).
I got Level = 82% and Quality is from 40% to 70%.
.
It needs to move only 13 degree West from the TRUE SOUTH.
Yet 26* W is automatic set according to my Lat. & Long.
.
Now I set
Lat : 45.5 N (no change)
Long: 85.0 W insteal of 73.3 W ( to get move only 13 degree West)
.
And I hits ONLY ONE BIRD ! (other birds have only 52% of level with 0% of quality)
Is my TRUE SOUTH is correct ?
PLEASE HELP ME !
Thanks in advance !
