any tiers you add will fall off eventually, no matter the card
p4's cant be programmed
you can put your valid bin back on your card and write the 0800/0006 hex to it to update it.

Can I wait to install the p4 (untill the Hu is disabled) without dave knowing I waited to install ?

What you should do is have the P4 in one IRD and leave it there , it will then be married to that IRD and will only work in it , then get another IRD to test the HU with ...
That would be your best bet !

You want to know this: if you connect your phone line, DTV can read the ird and tell if you have had any other cards in your receiver. An acquaintance received his P4 card and, following the instructions, connected the phone line in order to make the card switch. He made the switch. About a week later, he got a letter from DTV requesting an explanation for why his receiver had a cam id in the memory that belonged to another customer.

Irds can store several cam ids (the number depends on the brand). Before you make the switch, you want to put the original bin on your card and put that back into the ird. Unplug the receiver, pull the card, power up the receiver, insert the card again. Do this several times. This should replace all of the illegal cam ids with your own.

If you can make the switch, without being connected to the telephone, then that would be much better!
