sure... why not... dtv forums are a lot like psychic hotlines sometimes anyway... which has prompted me to look into my crystal ball and see what this new upgrade is all about... *looking deep into crystal... reading dave's mind...*

...as best i can tell, the new software upgrade will add advanced AI features that not only detect if you're not a valid subscriber, but can also rearrange and modify the physical nature of the oscillators on the receiver motherboard to pick up 1.575ghz GPS carrier signals... after which it will write the acquired location data along with a full dump of the p3 card data (or a p4... if you're one of the bastards that's holding out on the rest of us ;)), reconfigure the crystal oscillations to around 3.75mhz and send the entire log via packet radio signals back to dave's massive 80-meter band antenna array that's hiding somewhere in the rocky mountains near castle rock, CO...

...or maybe this crystal ball is just cloudy... i don't think i cleaned it after the last "the p3 is ending in exactly 9 days" prediction
