View Full Version : Need help with ParaTodos compatible receivers.

Hello,
I would like to know if any one has complied a list of receivers that can be used to view the "ParaTodos" spanish language channels. I am aware that an oval dish with mutiswitch are required, however I would like to know what model and generation in a reciever to look for.

A list with receiver brand, model and type would be very helpful.

Most any 5th gen (recieve locals in the channel 2-99 range), and all above 5th gen, will work, the IRD must be multi-satellite compatible......

So receivers in the 5th gen catagory and above will work. I dont have to look for receivers that have a plus logo?

I believe the 'plus" IRDs were the first ones to be multi-satellite compatible, I don't know if the newer ones are labeled "plus"or not. They use the terms "plus" and "multi-satellite". If in doubt about a receiver then go to http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/learn/Manuals.dsp and read the manual for the receiver you are looking at.
