What is the problem with the receiver?

the problem is searching for sat signal - 21.5v at sat in port
There is a good chance that the zener(s) are toast.
Open the cover where the sat in is and look above J17101, near the top of the first partition. Try replacing it. You may also have another just outside of the sat in box, right next to C26102 (to the left). I had the same problem with my 420. Replaced both zener diodes and up and running again. Good luck.

No, no, no, toasted zeners will pull the volts to about zero. 21.5 usually means a bad tip42 transisyor.......

Close to the card slot, it's the one with a heat sink around it.......

Often the diode failing will also cause the tip42 to fail, either immeaditely or later as is directly shots it's output to ground, stressing it.....sometimes it doesn't tho......
