Kynar wire. Sigh, Anyone have any really good ways to strip this stuff? Stripping kynar is the most time consuming part of modding 430's
I have a few broken nails and blisters on my fingers from stripping this crap.
It would rather break than strip properly.
Use a dull exacto knife, hold the wire with a needle nose. Press the blade to the wire and pull back with your pliers. Works for me.

I use the solid wire found in the 4-conductor flat telephone wire; alot easier to strip the insulation off..works fine in the 420's and 430's/
Rat Shack sells 100 foot 4-conductor spools for peanuts as compared to Kynar...i think i paid $10 for 100 feet which equates to 4 wires x100 feet =400 feet of solid 24 gauge wire.

Since you only need to strip off a small amount a insulation I found the easiest way is with the soldering tip, carefully roll the end of the wire across the tip then just wipe off the tip when done. Kynar wire is very fragile, and that's how I do it....

Save yourself the headache. Use wiretap, insulated and perfect for the "hole"

Dull pocketknife and a glass of tequila work great for me.

i use 30 gauge IDE wire. shit works great and it fits in the little holes on the PCB. rat shack sells a decent cable stripper for about 5 bucks i think. always get the right tools for the right job...makes things a whole lot easier.
