direct tv reciever password

I got a used rca DRD450RG reciever and it is locked with a password, how can i clear it.

If your running an HU card, you can read your card using extremeHU and it will tell you what the password is, or consult the manual for your model. I think there is a generic code that will work for most models. If you've programmed your card before, the default password for extremeHU is 0000.
