black screen after flash??

SA49...dunno what IRD you're using but....always erase the sector 3 times to be sure you cleaned it out.Then plug power back in,check the System Upgrades screen and set to "without my permission".Then hook up the sat feed.Had a 2700 once that wouldn't update unless the hookup was done in a certain order.Can't recall which way,but if the light doesn't start blinking for ya within a few minutes,then hook up sat feed first then power cord and see if that helps.But you can also just write a whole TSOP bin with an earlier software version...that way you can softlock it too.
