is their a way to put 301.010 firware into a 301.013 tsop or will it just corrupt

They use two totally different TSOP chips. The 010 has two 2Mb chips the 013 has one. Yes ou can receve both sate feeds on an oval DTV dish not the regular Dish500 dish.

what i ment about the tsops was to take the 2mb's tsops and put them into a single 4mb tsop :rolleyes:

I screwed up. I have a .013 and tried to convert to BEV. It worked for about 15mins, then the screen went black. Now the IRD will not update back to dish or bev. I tried erasing sa 49, and flashing the entire tsop with a working bin. Even erased the eeprom, and still have a black screen. The ird will still jtag, but no changes, just black screen. Maybe the tsop erase did not erase totally? Ird will not turn on manually. The light turns green when I plug it in, but fashes once then turns back off (acts differently than the regular firmware upload). IF I hold the power button in for a few seconds it comes on, but then turns back off. If I try going back to bev, the ird stays on, but black screen. Somebody please help!!! :cry:

First problem is that Bev does NOT support the 301.013.

yeah I know that now. I should have done more reading. Is there anything I can do to get back to dish??????

I figured it out, had to vid mod, flash entire tsop, and virginize eprom. Won't do that again.

but you can get DTV and Bev on a dish 500 very easily
