You should not have too many problems looking for a 2700 TSOP in the TSOP bank. There are many! Just DL one with the same build as your IRD (note: the last letter in the build is not important). As evilbob stated, edit the public dump using FlashEdit. Enter all your IRD info. Save as 'Save personal Dump'. Then Save as again 'Save virgin EEPROM'.
Now open Jkeys, Flash Programming, erase (Full) 3 times to ensure it's completely erased. Now hit 'Program' and select your personal dump bin. Once that is done, close the programming window and hit 'Eeprom programming'. Hit 'program' and select your eeprom bin that you earlier saved. You should be up & running after that.

I have a similar problem. Here is what I got, 301-013 with vid mod and Rom3. I am using a buffered Jtag and Jkeys301-013 for single 4M TSOP. Everything was working great until I got hit over the weekend and tried to erase sector sa49 and mistakenly erased with full option. Normally that isn’t a big problem because I have a good full TSOP backup file of my IRD but My PC decided to quit on me before I was able to load the good backup. After I rebooted my PC and open Jkeys I can get the Device ID and Device but that is all. Before it would automatically show everything IRD# Boxkeys and so on. Now when I chose the 013 single TSOP from the dropdown bar the info that comes up is IRD# R- 0 0000 00001-96 and BoxKeys FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF and all the rest are yyyy. Then when I go to flash programming I get an error that says flash codes returned are not recognized by jkeys..FFFFF/FFFFF etc. Is my TSOP toast or is there any hope? How can I reprogram my flash if everything in flash programming is grayed out?

all you guys need to do is ground pin 1 to enable flash programming mode.
That 301-013 has protected sectors, It will need a vid mod to do a full reflash. for 301 use Jkeys 299b or version 299-019 and make sure you have it selected single, Make sure it is indead a single model, their are dual flash 301-013's in the DACA range of builds. If you have locks, turn them off the reflash, on 2700 you will need to solder a 33 ohm resister in at location r259 if it was chopped up for a lock in the past.
Simple, But make sure the receiver is plugged in to read and flash.

Pin 1 is grounded and the vid mod is on, I have tried both versions of jkeys listed above and it is a single tsop. I do not have a lock installed and I still can’t get into flash programming.

this is a quote from a thread here.
"Using flash edit, open the new tsop, and enter in your desired box key and ird # "
my question is where do you get these keys from?
thanks

well I followed all this advice step by step and got it programmed
now it still dosent power up .
I take it now is the time to put this beast in the data stream?
and can I now program the jtag for it or do I have to wait untill it takes the new info?

can some one answer the question on the resistor, r259 in 2700/2800. does it need to be soldered on back in order to write tsop

the answer to that question is yes. i put in 33ohm at r259 and was able to get into programme and flash.
thanks
Is there a diagram showing this resister install....or a pic? I don't run locks but I have a buddy's machine here that has a lock that can not be re-programmed.

i don't have a pic, but wire #6on the tso lock normally goes to one end of where r259 should be. disconnect wire and reconnect resistor.

Thanks Chapster99 for this great tip!!!!!! I have only one ird a 2800 and could not for the life of me figure out what I must do to get the power to go back on. It was accidently unplugged when flashing the tsop. So after probably 24 hrs of reading and testing I found this informative link. Well I followed Chaptser99's steps and then closed down jkeys and unplugged then plugged back in the ird and BOOM it was working perfect again. Thanks for all the help Chapster99, I just wish I found this link like 20 hrs ago.
