Someone once told me to modify the DRD420RE because it is a lot easier to flash. I beg to differ. The sad thing, I work in an RCA certified TV shop...I can repair high voltage to troubleshooting an eeprom. But this NoZKT thing has to be the most disorganized I have ever seen. Maybe it is something I am overlooking or maybe it is something that is not on the net. Where is the files?! Yes, I can read schematics and understand binary. But how do you NoZKT the DRD420?! Someone please point me to a help file...chip layout. Do you cut a certain pin and add 5V to an amplifier somewhere? This is so frustrating but on the same breath challenging. Could someone please point me to the tools instead of an encouragin pat on the back. Just agrivated cause I can't figure this stupid thing out and have searched high and low...not even in this forum can you find detailed instructions. If so, I will appalogize now and will search the forum and not post for 2 weeks :-)

check out mili's how-to. There's a nozkt section there that gives you a step by step tutorial on how to modify your receiver. (bellexpress.vu has the dish/bev stuff) The necessary files are available from the ftp site; it's all here at mili's if you take the time to look.

You must have missed something, a 420 is the easiest receiver to mod, a very simple proceedure...with lots of info availabe, and help if you get stuck.

I don't know what I done. I tried bringing FP up to 5v and then I get a short. The x0000000 one not the xFFFFFFF. So, don't know...I'll getr done, rest asure. If someone is still watching this thread, can you use a single LNB with a 2 way splitter? Or will you fry a box? I have a dual LNB but it has the external switch for only one reciever. My ole man is bitching wanting to watch something and all I have is a single eye. I do have a normal signal splitter. Thanx for the support guys. You people are like Gods when it comes to this. I have def. learned a lot in the last month or 2
