there is one way to tell the pc the current loaded o/s is activated.

I have upgraded to XP on many machines. No 30 day countdown. Installed on a new system, locked out in 30 days. There are cracks out there for it. Be careful, a lot of these cracks have viruses embeded.

You need to get the key code for the corprate edition. This is no 30 countdown, no limited number of changes to your computer, and best of all, the install is completly automated! :)

The key is floating out on the net, I would try a google search :)

I am a registed user of XP Pro. I just purchased a used laptop with Win 98 and would like to upgrade it to XP Pro. I got it installed with my key code and all is well except the dreaded 30 day count down has begun. I called MS, but they will not release an activation code for a 2nd computer. Is there a way to stop this count down as when it runs the full 30 days, I can no longer use the computer.
