What? They are authentic Cuban cigars from the factory.
mili
WOW! I didnt know cigars were so expensive. I'll stick to my Copenhagen. And buy some Dish Net work stuff instead. lol
With Cubans you are going to pay , if the states dropped the embargo against Cuba the price of cigars would drop like a rock ....
The grass is always greener on the other side , having them in Canada is a big selling point for visiting Americans and they will buy no matter what the price ...
I know one doctor that buys a $3000 box of Cubans once a month ... 25 cigars !

Thanks Mili……..just received my box of Cohiba Piramides, and have to say I am impressed. Delivery was very prompt, as I should have expected from a service you provide.
Thank you for your business.

hightide ,
I wanted to try them ever since they came out , how do they taste , same as an Esplandito ??
Do they have the new gold bands ??

4x4,
I think the Esplendido is a little smoother, the Piramide tends to be a little peppery and a much more spicy cigar. Indulge yourself :).
Yes they have the new gold bands.
Give them some good humidor time , they will come around ... ( you knew that )
I do like an Esplandito though and was really wondering about the new Piramides ....
Thanks for the heads up !

Ok I just recently started enjoying that cigar experience.
Currently I have been visiting the local shops that carry the real thing stored properly and expensive to boot.
Thinking of checking out some cubans through the link here. Any recommendations?
To be honest the only cigars I ever smoked were swisher sweets and the like. Since I checked out some real cigars I now realize I was smoking some real crap to be blunt.
After some honduran and nigragan fare I want to check out some cuban stuff. Like all things I need some been there done that input. So what do you guys recommend on the fare from cuba? Looking for a long lasting fairly mild smoke.

Mild--- Monticristo 3,4,5, or A. Monticristo 2 are inconsistent. Upman are also mild. Romeo Julieta are a little stronger. San Cristabo have a Dominican flavor as opposed to most Cubans (Nicaraguans come close to the flavor of most Cubans). San Luis Ray is stronger. Diplomat is somewhat on the mild side. Bolivar is the strongest.
95% of tourist bring back street Cubans which are junk fakes and tast it. I'd better change that to 98% of tourist ( everyone thinks they are getting a deal).
Yes indeed. My friend at the cigar site deals with factories only. Little do people know that Cubans now limit cigar export to 24 pieces per person without an invoice meaning that a box of 25 gets opened and 2 taken away. They X-ray packages when going in AND out of the country. I myself went over with him a couple of times to help to get cigars (he bings them in hand luggages to avoid theft/damage) and I give you my word that he sells only factory selaed and genuine stuff.

Thanks for the advice 23dogs.
Checked out the site and at those prices I think i'll do a single on all the recommended types before doing any box buying. To get a much better idea of what to check out now.
Not complaining about the cost. I understand good quality comes at a fair price. Just want to make sure I get something I'll enjoy for the price.

Swisher sweets (5 for a dollar) to cubans (5 dollars a puff)
Maybe you could work up to them starting with .50 cigars

Hey, go easy on t160hq, smilingjack!
In a lot of places the cigar culture has almost died. Swisher Sweets are almost all there are available, and unless you are told by someone in the know, it would never occur to you that there are stores with much better offerings to be had.
I am a cheapskate (not to mention poor), so I smoke Churchill Madura irregulars-- a buck apiece, and boy do they taste good. The irregularity is usually just that they are rolled a bit crooked or some such. It doesn't effect the taste. :)

Hmmmmmm
WOW people really are getting bored digging up threads from November and December to answer, It's nice when the magic works but it can get boring eh what rob ?
My comment was a joke, sorry, I forget to use the smilies sometimes.
Ever think about the fact that smoking in general is dying out because the smokers are dying out from smoking ?
I am, heart and lung disease, some of it from smoking for 50 years.
Love them things.
Just hard to stop coughing long enough to light up these days.
Also joke........... unfortunatly also true, Gallows Humour

Ah, good to know I just took it wrong. :) But sorry to hear you are ailing. :(
Yep, I've had extra time on my hands lately, so I've been reading some of the sections on this board that I hadn't gotten around to before, when I was busier.
I don't think smokers are dying off so much as are the mainstream smokers of the past are getting shamed by the (discredited) second-hand smoke propoganda.
I am a third-generation smoker of Pall Mall non-filtered cigarettes (when I can't afford cigars), which is about halfway to a cigar anyway. ;)

Not ailing, as the steppenwolf song went, flying low, dying slow.
I could tell. I do that myself.
smokers don't get shamed, they get regulated out of places and yes we are dying off, many of the younger people are not starting or quitting.
I have quit many times over the years but a 50 year habit does not die easily.
Actualy cigars are not as harmfull as ciggs, you are not supposed to inhale cigars.
I like them GPC non-filters cheap & strong. Yum Yum.
Later, Sj :)

iIf I am going to get something from columbia its not going to be cigars lol. but as far as cigars go, does anyone have an opinion on the "ACID" brand of cigars? I have tried them and enjoy them very much but I am not what you would call a 'cigar smoker'.
