I was about to post a similar question regarding the original Cube.. The specs I have read indicate it should work. Hopefully someone will have some info. Here is the post I was going to make
Like many others I am about to jump ship .. Thx for the memories Dave
Question: I have read some docs on the emulation programs for Dish/Bev and from the specs given, it appears they should even work on those old Cubes that were out for the H cards
Has anyone tried this yet or have any info that would dictate it will not work
I am about to buy some equipment and I want to aquire the right things first time around.
Thx for any input

When I bought the Platnum board it was sold as one that would work with Dish also or was that just marketing.

Use an Oddcircuits AR105-B with that 2700. It's autoreset, it'll work just fine with your emulation, and it's $15.00.
With the Platinum I'd recommend using thier autoreset flash. The Platinum flash method is just too werid and it may raise hell with emulation. I really don't know, but that reset in reset out method won't autoreset the IRD anyway, you're better off using thier autoreset flash. I know that flash will work fine with your emulation.
On either of these locks, you'll need to pull power from C199 as opposed to C196. The CPLD chips don't like 5V VCC, they want to see 3.3V. That 2700 has a 5V VCC.

What sw would be best for the Cube2. If you dont know the cube is a small 486 with a floppy and ISO reader. It was working fine on Dave with the Platnum SW and Emu board.
