View Full Version : Multi Dish Installation HELP !!!
There is an aiming how-to at bellexpress.vu There is also a how-to for your multi lnb set up under the heading schematics in the downloads. You can use your receiver to give you the azimuth and elevation. Use the zip code for Seattle for your location (98122) That will get you pretty close.

details, harvey.... did you need any special filters or BS to get a good signal for the dish 110 sat, or is that the additional lnb you added?

Here is the deal,
The new 'phase 3' dishes have a built in DTV (read sw21) switch.
This is not compatible with dick. Dave uses sw21 switches, dick uses DiSeq switches.
The old DTVplus dishes have an attached external sw21 switch which can easily be bypassed to use one bird for dave and the other two for dick. Run the 101 dish straight to your DTV receiver. You will then need to connect the 110 and 119 lnb thru a DiSeq switch which dick's equipment can actuate.
I believe (but am not 100% certain) that the 'special sat c lnb' is an lnb which will only get left-hand polarity (dick also uses this bird, but he uses the right-hand polarity transponders).
Theoritically the new 'phase3' dishes should work if you are willing to crack the case and bypass the internal sw21 switch. Seems like a lot of work when you can still get the old DTVPlus (or 'Para Todos') dishes.
Also, if you are willing to putz with it, you can zip tie (or duct tape if you are of that pursausion) a circular polarity LNB onto the feed horn of your BUD and get signal that way. There is a considerable amount of trial and error involved but you can also get all the FTA channels. Any NASCAR fans (and I am NOT) will find a great deal of FTA race info at 'gofastmotorsports.com' I have heard you can get the pit cameras.
