I can't find a DISH500 satellite anywhere here in Canada. Or if I do the price is ridiculous.
Someone please tell me if this will work...
I take two 18" satellites point them one at 110 and one at 119 and feed these into sw21 switch? I have dual LNB's on both dishes will this mean I can have hookups for 2 receivers?
If I wanted 4 receivers would I feed the out to receivers from the sw21 to the inputs of the mulitswitch?
Here's a quick pic to diagram what I mean...

Except that part. A standard multiswitch used with say a dtv will not work on a dish. SW21's can only run to one receiver.
You would have to have a SW64 multiswitch to use that setup to hook up 4 receivers.

If you want to run 4 IRD's, then you will have to use a dual lnb on both dishes and an sw44 switch. Using two seperate dishes will give you some damn good gain on your signal. That way you could just use two dual lnb Dave dishes. If you only want to run two receivers then you will get the sw42 switch, but you will still need dual lnb's on both dishes. The switches for Charlie work a little bit different than for Dave.

001438 Welcome to Charlie TV. Believe it or not everything mentioned here will work. The possiable combinations to make a two or three sat combo with DN are crazy.

Would the setup i quickly diagramed work? Or do I just need the switch?

OK will do...
No. You can only have one switch in the line. You could run just the two sw21 switches to two IRD's, or you could get a sw44 switch (3x more $ most likely), and go to four receivers; or an sw 42 switch to go to two receivers. This is why Charlie went to the switches in the lnb's like with the dish500 set up's. The first number in the switch is the # of lines in, the second number is the number of lines out. You are combining both the 110 and 119 into one cable. (sometimes a couple other birds as well) It takes a different kind of switch than what you use for Dave. Some of these switches for Charlie are pretty crazy. I think I saw a sw86 somewhere.

YOU NEED A SW44 FOR MORE THAN TWO RECIEVERS DEPENDING ON THE RECIEVERS
