I took aother lightning strike Monday night.
By today (Thurs) I replaced the router/modem and got the network back up enough to finish my (web) taxes and get a check to the IRS.
Yesterday I find out the DTV system also did not work.
Tonight I replaced the LNB and determined the 430RGA had been hit.
I replaced it with the spare RG and came here to find out what parts I might need to replace to revive the RGA.
Now I see the HU is in shutdown mode, and I have to wonder if there is any point in trying to revive the RGA?
I get 'searching for sat signal' on screen and all zeros in the signal strength meters (all transponders)
It had the best picture of any receiver I have owned (including the Sony's).
I just got back from the [post office, bar, store etc] and am about to crack the case.
It is worth checking and replacing a zener diode or two to see if it will work, but what are the odds I can restore the wonderful picture clarity and is it really worth that much effort?
