what am i doing wrong?

can someone please help me.
for some reason i am not getting all the channels. i am just getting the preview channels. i clean the card then i go to data editor and put my ird in hex then i add my box keys, zip(in hex) and the pulic keys.
then from there i go to patch then open patch and then i add a rom three bn3 file.
then i stick the card in the reciever let it boot up and then all i get is channels like 101. what the heck am i doing wrong? i would appreciate any help i can get on this. i feel i am so close but missing something.

when you add the bn3 file after are you going to change your box keys and ird # and keys.
if they are not on that bn3 file then whatever is is getting wrote to the cam. after you write it read it back and see what the ird info is.
also TRIPLE check the correct box keys are on there after you open the bn3 image.

sorry for the trouble but i am a bit confussed. do i need to add my ird # on the card after i put the bn3 file on? if so can you please tell me how to do that? all i do is put then in nagra edit. i dont' write then on. i thought they went on when i wrote the bn3 file.

when you onestep clean your card. then open the bn3 image. THEN got to the data editor tab and check the info for ird, box keys and aux keys. zip code it it is not already on the image. the image is what gets wrote to the card so if you change the info then open a image all the info you just changed gets cahnged to what is on that image.
1.clean card.
2. open bn3 image.
3. edit info on data editor.
4. open patch (blocker)
5. test patch if no errors run patch. then change password so you can get back in .
6. write the manipulated image to the card. once it says card written sucesufly you should have it.

so when i hit run patch, does that at the bn3 file as well or do i have to write that to card after i hit run patch?

run patch adds patch to image, if the image does not like the patch it will show errors down at the bottom. if it likes the patch after you run patch then the patch is added to your image.
you can now write that image to the card

okay, we are making progress. i think.......... it shows all the channels but they are all red. how do i get them subscribe.

ok where did you get your bn3 file from, are you sure it is current . red means not subscribed, if you got the guide then you probly got box key part down . noe to make a current script. use rtm (rom tier maker) or mini rom tier maker. thier might be some bn3 files in the files section.
but for now where did that file come from.

i got it from another site. is there a teir already made up or do u have to make it yourself? and do they have the current list on them or do i have to get that as well?

try to find one already made. it will be a ne3 patch not a bn3.
you will open patch and test it and then run it just like you did the blocker.
best thing to do is download a tier maker program and make your own check the files section for a current ne3 patch and load it to the image you got now..
one step clean the card.
open your image.
click clean card (says card but you wiping the image clean)
then run the NEW patch (ne3 file), test it then run itt if no errors.
open blocker test, run > noerrors then go to the data editor tab check the data, ird info box keys ect. if it is good to go write the image to card then watch a damn movie dude you deserve it.

read what smurf says about box keys. where did you obtain yours?
are you changing them in nagra edit on the data editor tab before you write image to card?

guess what? i am watching tv. i am not sure what i did but i am watching tv........ i'll let it run for a couple of hours then i will let u know if i am still up. i applied the patch first under file and then i editted my ird info. could that of made the difference?

thats not the box keys thats the auxillary keys. two diferent thing, those are provided by charlie via the stream will lock out your video.
your box keys is on the receiver and MUST match the box keys you write to the card or no video.

oh, i got had them right all along. i think i was just not putting the info on the card correctly. boy charlie is a pain in the @$$ but it's a nice change. makes you think.

To date, Mili had been asking testers to DOUBLE check the box keys. However, in light of the above, we should probably be asking him to revise the already excellent directives in order to improve them even further.
