newbie question

If I call up Dish and get them to install a dish for $29 p/month, with the reciever that they give me, can I use magic card or whatever and hack it? Does the JTAG work on it? Its alot easier then buying all the pieces on ebay and having to re install another dish.

BAAADDDD Idea to hack stuff charlie owns. Buy one outright for testing. Common sense here.

I should add the new stuff they install is not backward compatible. The dish will be DP PRO, Will only work on new receievrs DP pro compatible. The receiver will be either a basic 301 needing heavy circuit chopping mods to work with anything, Or a cardless receiver.
Fleabay is not too great for this stuff. Rummage sales and asking friends seems to be a good source.

Before this week it was really easy to get Charlie systems from guys I was helping with Dave, but alas....at least I picked up enough stuff to get a vague idea of what's going on with Charlie.
