Ok cool guy how often does bev go down. Best case worst case. What combination of reciever /card is the best and what combination should I stay away from. I have a 5800 with the da-05 card. and an old one 3 year plus. it at a cottage so I can't tell you the make or card but at least 3 years old and the cheapest they had. I'm timing you.

There is no best solution in this type of testing. None of the testing methods for bev have ever stayed up more than others.
Of the three methods of testing I'm using on bev all have gone down at different times from different kinds of hit's. Never at the same time but also never gone down for the same reason.
Currently I use three types of testing. One EMU, a rom10 and a rom3. In the last bev hit the rom10 stayed up. The rom 3 and emu went down.
HDTV MAN is not being flip. It's just a crap shoot as to testing method. What is the cat's pajamas today may be the worst method of testing tomorrow. That's just the way it is.

I have been running a 6000 dish for more than 2 years without one problem!!
I have also been running two 7200's for about 1 year without any issues at all. The 7200's have one fault it's a little slow....
This is DISH not BEV.
I run rom2's, rom3's and rom10's all without problems...

I guess he was being flip bamfordb. I'll remember that in future.
The models he metioned will work without problem. They appear to be
unhitable by charlie. Old and difficult to work with. Not the 6000 (has a jtag)
so much but the 7100/7200 (no jtag) can be a bear. Might have some problems
finding them since you can only get them used.
