Sony A-65 nozkt this....

I hooked up a Jtag and read the EEprom and got this 4096 byte file. How can I get this NoZKT'd.


This is what I did (from Harrley)

Jtag located to the left and down from the 5518 (when looking from the front)
two row 20 pin header socket (#s labled)

5518# sgn Jtag#
109 trst 19
110 tms 9
110 tdo 15
112 tdi 13
113 tck 11

header pins 2,4,6,8,10,12,14,16,18,20 are ground
1,3,5,7,17 unknown

no good place to BFR, I used a straight pin on the 115 leg of the 5518

interesting, only 213 differences between your A65 dump and my B65 when you start looking at offset 0x80000 on, which makes sense considering the different models / features. There were thousands of differences between mine and Harrley's (his was a different flash so who knows why the results were so out of whack). Betcha you have an Intel flash, right?

Not that it matters, with the HU stream shutting down it's a moot point

That's interesting that you found 213 differences becasue I found 317 such differences between the Sony B3 and A3 firmware (v5.10).
Must be for RF compliance.

The Sony A65 has RF remote , Dolby Digital and call display. I think those are the major differences....oh yea and it is silver (LOL)

The Chip set used is the "Intel E28F320" flash Version 5475 Sat 10/19/02

I'm thinking you'll have to convince one of the nozkt-code gurus to patch your file. Given the current state of affairs that may be a tall order.

personally I'm gonna keep scouring the classified ads etc until I can find a couple of 3100s at a reasonable price. I was quoted $190USD for a used 2700 yesterday... fucking vultures...

Mods...Do you know who I would fiorward this file for the Sony A65 to get code patched for the NoZKT? I understand that this is probably not the right time with the card change over but if I could get pointed in the right direction, I would appreciate it....... Thanx

I use WinHex

uploading apps is a BAD thing, it's out there...search for it
