If anyone could answer a couple of questions for me it would be helpful so here goes.
1. Is the frequency of a Dave LNB the same as Dishnet or will I have to change dishes as well ? I have an 18in round dish
2. Does anybody have any info on the blackbird/fortec dish and whether or not its worth it?

Single 18" LNB's dual or single for Dave and charlie are interchangable electronicly. Physicaly they can differ in mounting on the dish.

Yes your Dave sat will work on dish for one the sat's. You need to pick up two since the majority of DN channels are located on two sats 110 and 119. So you will need a second 18" dish (DN or Dave) and a multi switch (SW21 most common) or a DN 500 20" dish with a dual head DN LNB. (This has to be the correct one for your receiver legacy or DP)

A search for Legacy or DP should get lots of hits on the subject.
