Alright, according to the person i bought my ird off my model is dp 301.005(same as 301.010) i heard that these ird have problems with AVR's. So im planning on emulating after moving over from dave, i currrently have access to an avr6 i've read that i have to solder stuff together, instead of that couldn't i just use a db25 to db9 adapter? I also have an emu board from dave that has 1 atmel that says 232CP but thats the only atmel chip is has but it does have a serial port on it already would i just be able to do that or have to use the avr with solder?

1. Can I emulate with an AVR6 on a dp 301 using a db25 to db9 adapter?

2. Would the current dtv board with 1 single atmel that reads 232CP work for emulating as it already has a serial port on it.

Thanks in Advance
