Question about VID MOD and emulation

Hi,
I hava a new DP301-13 with the single 4MB tsop flash. I've gotten jkeys to read the tsop and eeprom and back them up to a file as well as extract box keys and IRD number. I have built the Max Mel External emulator and flashed the atmel microcontroller on it per their intructions with an atmel programer. So I ran cemu , put the emu into the card slot and started up the receiver(not connected to the dish at this point) and i get the Error 349 attempt to use a version of smart card that is incompatable with this receiver. So I remembered reading about this receiver needing the vidmod to use earlier cards, ie 2, 3, 10 so I did the vid mod to allow writing to the tsop to change a value in it to allow older cards in the receiver, but I am still getting the same 349 error. Any body have any clue??? You guys posting here in this thread seem to be starting down the path I am on, I don't mind shareing how I got where I am , and maybe we can put our heads together and get this thing going ......
