Have everything backed up. I don't plan on using locks, I already fried one ird and only have one left. All of the directions I see for reflashing talk about TSOP. Is the EEPROM flashed at the same time? Still a little confused iwith how these work together.

The TSOP has the Operating System of the
receiver. Like windows on your coumputer.

The EEPROM stores customer setting information.
Like dish type, password, favorite channels, locks
and limits.

You only need to reflash the one that was hit.

There are two types of hits. One affects the
EEPROM the other only affects the TSOP.

The EEPROM hit hasen't been used in
many many months. So most likely you
will be dealing with a TSOP hit.

If you haven't already, back up your EEPROM
as well.

You can tell which one gotcha by calling up
the SYS INFO screen on the reciever. Look
at Location ID on that screen.

00000000

means TSOP hit

00000001

means EEPROM hit

Just reflash the one that needs it based on
the Location ID info.
