I have a DP301.013 that I sent out to get a JTAG put on, and I am now having problems with that JTAG. I don't know if it is buffered or not, but I get errors about DCU Peek and then later get flashcodes are not recongnized by jkeys (modded for 013) (something like ffffff/fffff FLASHFILE). What can I do?
Thanks.

Look at your build config. DAMA and DASA are anti jtag, Wacth the power light blick at you to piss you off. These are tough to vid mod and ecm repair.

Keep your jtag cable as short as possible. If you still have errors, Use a laptop running on the battery, Should get in then.

Here's what I have found.
The Build Config of the IRD is DALC
My relatively new IBM ThinkPad Laptop will not see the JTAG
My older IBM ThinkPad Laptop also will not see the JTAG
My old Packard Bell PC Desktop will see the JTAG, but will not give me any build config (got that from the menus from the IRD), boxkey, etc. Will not let me enter programming mode. When I get a read, it tells me that there was an error reading the IRD (DCU Peek). Occasionally, I get the trap to work, but I don't understand what it is and how to help make it work more reliably.
I have heard about grounding PAD 1 of the JTAG, but I am using topside JTAG connections, not bottom. I must say that I am relatively new to Dish testing, and don't know much... had to send the IRD out to get the JTAG put on.
Hope this info. is a little more helpful.
Thanks.

Can anyone please put a voltmeter on a vidmod, between the left and center pins of the installed switch, and let me know what a working vidmod has for volts, and then between center and left? Sorry if I'm asking a question that's been answred before, I've read for 2 weeks and haven't solved my problem. If I measure, it's 11.4 volts DC and 23 volts DC, respectively. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Here's a basic question.... Do I have to have the VidMod on to Read? What about writing when I decide to?
Thanks.
