2800 / 501 w/ dishpro lnb?

i got charlie installed. dish 500 dish and i'm not sure what switch or lnb but probably dishpro since i just got it installed. it is hooked up to a 522 (2 sat inputs) and 311 (1 input) irds.

i am thinking of playing around with an old 2800 and 501 that i have. i don't want to mess up any of my hardware.

i guess i have a few questions:

1) are the 2800 and/or 501 compatible with the dishpro lnb setup? can i just unplug the satellite input from the 311 and plug it into the 501 or 2800?

2) is it safe to mess around as long as i don't plug in the phone line into the 501 or 2800? or will my 522 that is hooked up somehow know that a 501 is on another connection and call charlie (it has a phone line b/c i'll get charged $5/mo if i don't have one).

The 501 will work fine, The 2800 is not compatible with DP series and will not work well.
As long as you do not call and sub another receiver dishnet will not charge you more. The 522 cannot detect more connected, If you have that setup then yours is a quad lnb, It has another output yet on the dish that you could run another cable from yet and have 522/311 and 501 all at once then.
