301-010 conversion to dish

If I have a dual chip 301-010 do I still erase SA3 in flash 1 or is there something I need to erase in flash 2?

Never erase flash1, Flash2 is your sector sa3.
Flash 1 will delete the bootstrap and put the receiver into COMA

Both flashes have a SA3, but the one you want is in flash 2.
