Max and mel interface is the best to use. You can build however I bought for the simple reason they are only 45.00 Can with cable and connectors. Emulation is in my opinion the best way to go . Why? 1) if you make a mistake it just does not work . You do not damage anything. 2) If they ECM it it just doesn't work . Hard for bev to kill a 3/12 floppy or an old computer from space. I have and do run rom 2 , 3 10 and emulation . I prefere that little P-100 and floppy over plastic. Emulation has connsistanley outpreformed plastic. Example. CEMU V2 is about 2 years old (380.bin days) and I am still running it.

read the guide on maestra.tv and you will get a general idea of the things you have to go through and use to get emu worknig without a subscription. The max and mel or similar version of the 232/2313 emu is a good choice
