Dish to Bev Receiver

I am trying to get use a dish receiver to pick up the Bev signal but nothing happens...I plug in the dish receiver into the dtv satelite feed and it does not pick up the signal...do I need to modify the dish receiver to pick up other signals?

You said DTV satellite feed , how are you gonna get BEV from that ??

The BEV Sat is about 10 degrees higher in elevation than DTV ....
( for me anyways )

Am I crazy or what? I have a dish receiver pointing at the dtv bird but cannot get a signal....I thought I would start there and then move my dish the 10 degrees to get the bev signal...but if I cannot even pick up the dtv bird, so how do I go any further?
