Permanent that is without a TSOP programmer
and a new DIP style TSOP. The necessary
desoldering and soldering equipment. And
a great deal of knowledge.

The conversion to Bev is actually very simple
any novice with a little skill can do it. Actually,
Bev does most of the work. :-)

If you have any kind of lock installed
turn it off.

Just hook it up to a dish pointing at bev's
sat. After making sure you have a good
signal strength (it will say wrong sat bell
express vu 91 that's ok). Turn the reciever
off and wait for the upgrade. Less than
1 hour if it works. It may not work this
way anymore.

If that does not work then you will have to
take the cover off the 3000 and short two
pins of the TSOP. The easist way to do this
is to use the empty dip pins on the PCB.

Unplug receiver and disconnect sat in cable
to receiver. Jumper pin1 to pin16 on the dip
layout of the PCB. Plug receiver in. In approx
3-5 seconds remove jumper. Hook up
sat in cable and wait for it to finish downloading.

That's it.
