resetting 301-010 receiver

Familiar with resetting dtv receivers but when you change a card in dish receivers do you need to reset them and how?

no. not really needed unless you are having problems. if you are then search the problem or

you can reset factory flags in the set up menu.
or you can do a charlie version of a hard reboot.
menu>6>3>info>right>left do it fast until you get it, the last 3 is what needs to be done within a few seconds, a screen will pop up NVM info screen. hit the tv/video button and it will say some shit about courpt info and then un plug from wall few seconds then plug back in.

So what you are saying is if I have a rom 10 mcard in receiver and decide to put amagic card in there should be no problem and no reset needed?

I have no ideal about magic card, I am saying I do not have problem pulling cards and changing them having to reset the ird all the time. usually after I flash one for the first time I reset it then do not have to anymore. you may want to check the magic card thread for that info I would hate to mis inform you.
