Hi I am using Jkeys 2.9.9 and trying to read TSOP but after couple of try I get error saying Peak DCU error. Do you know what does that means? I don't get any BK # or IRD # . Anyone has any idea about this and also is it easy way to JTAG is soldering to the pad or not? Please let me know guys
I had the same problem you are having...All I had to do was change computers.
I first tried my laptop and didn't have any luck but as soon as I hooked everything up to my tower it read the ird and box keys right away.
To get the to the tsop there are a few more hoops you have to jump through...I think the procedure is different for different irds but for mine (2700), I have to jump pad one to ground before I can read the tsop, (I havent done it yet).
I used an older version of jkeys...Version 2.0.1.
Hope this helps.....I am still learning myself.

Try Closing All Programs And Unpluging The Ird Than Plug It Back In End Open Jkeys It Should Fix The Problem It Happens A Lot On My 301.010 So I Unplug And Start Over And It Takes If It Happens When Programming The Flash And Gives A Big # Error Just Erase A Bunch Of Times And Unplug And Do It Again

Peak DCU error is a connections problem or a receiver that has had the TSOP completely erased. What model are you talking about. If it is a 301.013 then you are talking a whole different ballgame.

You need to JTAG it to get the boxkeys from jKEYS. Do some more reading around, the pieces will fall in place ....

Fallon 2000: Try grounding R79 before you start jkeys with your jtag connected also. Make sure you have a current version of jkeys with the updated jkeys.def file in the same directory as this current version of jkeys.

It is, but for some reason I find that grounding R79 is more reliable with 301.013's from my experience. I say this because I have been in the position where with PAD1 grounded I have been unable to do what I want with it correctly, but the moment I ground R79, that symptom goes away. Weird I know, but that is my experience.
