I have found alot of conflicting or confuing info.
I have a Rom # card and 2700 and dave dish.
I read I woulsd of been better to save my money on the Rom 3 and get majic card and programmer, the read better with pllastic and iso.
I read dish 500 is neceesary to reeplace dave, but then 500 only works with 301 receivers.

I have the Magic Card and love it, so I would say that is the best way to go

as far as the Dish 500, I have one and it is connected to 3900 so working with only a 301 I believe is false.

With a magic card do you require a cam ?
Best to buy the mil kit, with jtag
