Have just purchased subscription with Dish net work. I have a AVR from a past setup. Its been so long since I did anything with it. my question is.. can i just program the wafer and us it since I am paying for a basic subscription or do I have do anything else to protect my receiever. I was thinking that because I am paying for a subscription i am safe form hurting the receiver. If not pleade trell me what i need to do.
thank you

AVR's make you succeptible to an ecm...that scrambles your reciever. You will need to tsop lock or make sure that your reciever has a jtag port and is programable

If you up and running with a AVR what are you using.. I was under the impression that all the old AVR's were down.. testing DN

anytime your testing your not safe..
