View Full Version : DASA Build "Strange Things"
I have a brand new never hooked up 301.013 with DASA build configuration. I did the vid mod with zener diode and 220 ohm resistor. I ran Jkeys got box keys and ird# no problem. Flashed 0000 at 7FFFFFAC, read 0000 no problem. Turned vid mod off and tried to read 7FFFFFAC again, got FFFFFFFF, now Jkeys won't recognise receiver at all device ID = 0x00000000 or 0xFFFFFFFF. I have since not been able to get in.
I'm looking to use a Magic Card (camless) with this receiver and I know the DASA build is a real bugger to get into. Should I be worried about this at this point? I did change 5D00 to 0000.
I'm just curious as to why I can't get back into it now. I've checked all connections and components and everything checks out. Has anyone had this happen to them?
Is there a way for me to flash a DAHA configuration (to TSOP), when I can't read the ird with jkeys?

DASA and DAMA builds are a big pain, Been battling with them myself. Only way I have had luck is with a quad mode jtag on a laptop running on battery. Nothing else worked, The Jinterface does not work at all with these. Thinking these have something anti vid mod added. Problem is just the same for ecm repair as well, Hard to get into flash programming.
Working on more solutions here so will update this as I find some more tricks to these.....
With my jtag hooked up to the ird, jkeys reads ird 0XFFFFFFFF, short circuit.
Jtag not hooked up to ird, jkeys reads ird 0X00000000, no signal. JTAG = good,
ird = bad.
What would one expect to see if you plugged in to dish and tv? My ird turns on for 4 secs and turns off, black screen, nothing. I don't have menu or anything. Does not look good.

Running 3 DASA's and had to do a soldered simple jtag on all 3. After that, no worries.

I have one DASA I did the jtag like it shows on http://www.bellexpress.vu/ some times its a pain but I got to the point I got the trick for it. some times it reads the info fast some times it takes a while. DON'T FORGET TO BACK UP YOUR BOX FIRST. it works for me to stram it for a few minutes. or when I just leave it alone for a few hours. I notice that when I open flash edit and load up the reciver bin it won recognice it. I have the software mark "F" its a bitch to try to get it to read. other than that I have erase the tsop a few times try diferent bin and still on "F" I even load up a DAHA bin and it recognice fine. It went daed and when i went to the Jkey I just got it to recognice the device id and devce and the I hight light the 301-13 when it show what ever crap comes out I just go to flash with what ever bin i have and it came back to life I get to recognice the jkeys faster now by doing all the things but what I need is a DASA back up If anyone is kind enough to load one to be download it will be kindly taken. or if anyone have a Virgin eepron from another box I can try it ti wipe that freakin F out.
I need more dasa bin's to try to get my F out of the Eepron. :repuke:

I'm not sure I follow, but if I do, the "F" means your eeprom is corrupted.
If you have a good copy of your tsop (not same as eeprom) load it up in FlashEdit.
Save as a virgin eeprom
In jKeys, go to eeprom programming and program the eeprom you made into your ird
now go to flash programming, and select full
program the tsop file you used in flash edit.
exit jkeys
open jkeys
detect
there should be no "F"
