Firmware 3500???

Did tsop lock,retreived Box Keys ,ready to test with plastic. Came upon a thread that says that tsop firmware has to be upgraded ??? in order to test.
If true when , applying Junk Yard Fix since no j-tag,do I leave card in receiver?,
apply blocker to card?, this is a brand new rec and card. any help will be appreciated..

If You Corrupt The Tsop With The JYF With Dish, It Will Never Update. What Receiver Model Does The Sys Info Screen Say It IS? What Software_Version IS Shown In The Sys Info Screen? 3000 Is At 8.06 And 4000 Is At 8.11.

On sys menu it says software @056pbaja-n and bootstrap @131pbaja its a bev if its any help.ps it's a 3000

If It's A Bev Receiver, You Will Need To Hook It Up To The Bev Stream And Wait For It To Update. It Can Not Be Converted To DISH Without An Expensive F040 Reader/Write. If It Dosen't Update, You Could Try The JYF, But I Don't Recommend It For Any Receiver. To Easy To Short Something Else And Render The Receiver Useless. Do A Search For JYF.
