I have already soldered the wires to the receiver for my tsop lock, Im still waiting on my lock! My question is i had power befor soldering and now the unit doesnt power on. Would this be normal since the wires are soldered on to it? The only connection that isnt made or changed is the 259!
Thanks

Man,I've been seeing this a lot lately. Same thing happened to me(3900). My jtag install went just fine.Got box keys and ran save mem.
Then we installed the digital lock using ribbon cable. No power. Tried re-installing the lock with single strand 30 guage wire.No power. Yesterday I sent it off to be fixed and have the lock installed by a pro. This shit's getting expensive.

Okay - this also happened to me ... and I found out I was wiring the lock to the wrong 3.3v pad. I changed it and the receiver started working.
What locks are ya'll installing?
Sometimes the wiring changes but the install docs don't. Some locks need different and I mean different hook-ups.
I have a pile of AR105B's... heck, they're cheap. I wired one up on a 3700, and at first no power. Double checked my install, had some wires wrong.. so I reworked it.
Then it began to reboot the receiver on a regular basis, like every minute. So I fired off an email to the designers. Seems I also had another wire wrong, but the docs on this are way off.
Which lock are you using? Which is better AR105B or the digilock? And please explain why I am new at this and want to do the right thing. Thanks in advance

A lot of us are new at this, but only you can explain why you are...
The AR105B/C are reprogrammable locks, so if Charlie figures out a way to get around them, you can hook them up by a set of header pins and reflash the IC chip. And theyre cheaper.
Thanks for the "help" Tex!?
