If they ask (I doubt they will notice) why your receiver has been opened and soldered around iside, tell them you bought the receiver used.

Since they are moving the ethnic channles to the
new bird only those sub's are getting letters.

They must be installing a 500 type dish to receive
the second bird. Must be a freebie at this point.

Me i'd spend the bucks and get a 500 dish or
another 300 dish and a sw21. Tell them you
just couldn't wait.

I have read somewhere that when the BEV installer comes he never goes inside. Just points the new dish at 91 & 82.

No I cannot say that it is or isn't credible, but what would the installer need to do inside that you couldn't do? I read this over on IM, and I also recall somebody mentioning it on IRC a month or so ago. I would have to say that each installer works differently though.

Does anyone have the skew settings for Bev 82/91 on dish 500

The skew will vary by your geographic location.

If you are in canada go to their site and find
the settings for your zip.

If in the US find the closest town in canada
directly north of you. Get their zip code. Check
the bev site for settings based on that zip.

That will give a starting point. Then start playing
with the settings until you get the best signal
on both sats.
