DISH Player-DVR 522

Hi All - I have a chance to pick up a DISH Player-DVR 522. I am a newbie to Charlie, and wonder whether this new type of dual receiver will be difficult to test. Don't know if it makes a difference, but the website for Dish states that this receiver is only available for lease and not purchase. Anyone familiar with this unit, and its' testing ability? Thanks.

No testing available. It is a cardless reciever.

You will still need to jtag it to get boxkeys, How you gonna do that?

Trust me, You are not going to hack that. It is a 64 pin embedded smart chip, I have the spec sheet right here, But why bother yet.
Don't hack subbed 522's. Read the fine print, Charlie owns it, Not you. Must send it back within 15 days of cancelling service.
