What firmware did you put on it?

What is the original build & boot strap version?

Maybe u should try a different Jtag file or and also double check ur cable ends, sometimes comes loose and slips. Worst case scenario buy another receiver before the price goes nuts.

Funny you should mention that, bjjgod. I have a 2700 with the exact same problem! Only this one has completely lost the sat signal. Stays stuck on 'Aqcuiring Satelitte Signal' Just haven't gotten around to fixing it yet. Have read that heating points C118 & C119 with a soldering iron might help. If I find the time this weekend, I'll let you know how (or if) I got it going.

BTW...reflashing didn't help. Also, has nothing to do with FW

Take a ohm meter to those to caps as well, some times see them shorted too. Another prob I have seen is the sat in connector, the center pin gets worn and lose( Hole bigger for poor connection).
Sometimes from mixing cable types like rg 6 and rg 59 this happens, RG 6 has a much larger center conductor and makes the hole bigger, then rg 59 will not make a good connection after.
