Okay most of this dish stuff makes sense, except the Digital Locks seem confusing. Can someone explain the major differences and which may be the recommended type to use. There appear to be straight forward locks Digilock III, Digilock Autoreset....and some that are flashable ?? and also lock the eprom (Oddcircuits) ??? Just want to make sure I do it right the first time since there appears to be a lot of soldering involved.
Thanks for the help and advice
You want one of the newer locks such as the digilockIV. Charlie has figured out how to hit the older locks. Mili sells a current tsop lock. Check out bellexpress.vu for the install how-to.

I like the AR105-B from ODDCIRCUITS. It is cheap $15, and is flashable(can be upgraded with software in case it is ever compromised like the older locks). It also locks the eprom. It works with the newer model IRds too.

Is the ar-105B available from any Canadian Dealers or is it okay to order direct from Oddcircuits ?
Thanks.
P.S. I am using a 4900 receiver
