makin the move this weekend and struggling with a couple questions. just got a dish 5000 receiver with original card. has not been in the stream since '99. rom3 rev372 this receiver was originally used as a showroom unit for a dealer.
after 10yrs with dave and a couple weeks of being a charlie newbie im a lil intimidated. if i understand correctly, my rcvr and card are perfect for testing if the "showroom thing" doesnt hurt me. also am under the impression that all i need is software to retreve the keys from the card instead of using a jtag to pull from the receiver - please correct me if im wrong.
