Here's a little help with installing a Dish 500,
st, set your dish up properly, make sure the angles on the dish are set to exactly what they are supposed to . For example if you elevation is 43 and your skew is 117 set it to that exactly.
nd make sure whether you are using a mast or a pole that it is completly level on both sides, this is best for optimum signal peaking
rd after you have secured and leveled your mast or yard pole , place dish on it. Then tighten up the top bolt and nut that is on top of the holder that is attatched to the polar plate just enough to take the gap out. Then tighten the two tension bolts on the back of the holder just tight enough so that you can still move the dish. the two processes here help to acheive maximum strength of signal,
th.........tune your dish! also a cheap little signal meter from RS or your local electronics supply store will help more than you can imagine, these things simply require that you connect one end to the LNB and the other end to the receiver, via a piece of coax.. and the receiver just has to be plugged in to the wall so the meter will get power
